From Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and MGM Home Entertainment comes My Summer Story, the sequel to the family treasure "A Christmas Story," based on the life of novelist and famous radio personality Jean Shepherd.
Starring Charles Grodin (Beethoven, The Great Muppet Caper, Clifford), Kieran Culkin (Father of the Bride, The Cider House Rules) and Mary Steenburgen (Joan of Arcadia, Parenthood, Elf), and narrated by Jean Shepherd, the film follows Ralphie as he transitions from boyhood to young adulthood. My Summer Story will be available for the first time on DVD August 1 for the SRP of $19.94.
Set in the summer following the previous film, My Summer Story picks up where the classic "A Christmas Story" left off and follows the beloved character Ralphie as he makes the leap from a boy to young man, complete with the chaos and misadventures of his eccentric family.
Based on the novels of Jean "Shep" Shepherd, author and famous New York radio personality of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, the film is also narrated by him in the same familial voice that made him a beloved radio star.
