Lasse Hallstrom is to bring a new CHRISTMAS CAROL movie to the big screen. Todd Komarnicki is writing the screenplay for the movie, which will feature a 40-year-old Scrooge, reports Variety.
Komarnicki and producing partner Jon Berg are responsible for the Will Ferrell hit ELF.
The new A CHRISTMAS CAROL, which is of course based on the classic Charles Dickens novel, will be in theaters in time for the 2007 holiday season.
