What a time of year and location to do such a production. With the heat and hurricane season going on. But it sounds from the article that they all seem to be enjoying themselves making the movie.

Why does Hollywood make winter movies in the summer? Is it cheaper? Does the cold keep cameras from working? I'm at a loss. Christmas Vacation was filmed in the winter, though when they started they had to use fake snow for awhile. The Christmas Story used all fake snow, so I've read. The worst job of fake snow was in Christmas with the Kranks.

There is an article I'm trying to acquire...written by Jimmy Stewart...about the filming of "It's a Wonderful Life"...which was also a summer filming. I thought they had some of the best snow in the movies ever.

Jeff: That's surprising about It's A Wonderful Life being filmed in the summer. Who would have ever thought this? Yes, I agree, they did a phenomenal job with the snow, etc. It's one of my favorite Christmas movies.
