FOr those of you familiar with the Trans-siberian Orcestra, their 2008 Christmas tour has been released. It has been a Christmas tradition of my to see them every year, 5 years running (with the exeption of 2005 because of the birth of my son in November '05).

You can find some of their music in the media section. They have a presale sometime later next month. See if their coming to your town. If you haven't been to one of their shows, you're missing out...it is awesome.

Here is their website: http://www.trans-siberian.com/intro.html

From there, click the tour tab.

I was so excited to see that they released their tour dates!!! But when I saw that the concert we always go too isn't until January 4th...their very last show...I was a little bummed!! :-? We are still going, & it will still be awesome, but it's always nice to see them before Christmas...like in November to REALLY put you in the Christmas spirit! Ah well.... I guess we'll find out what it's like to see them AFTER Christmas this year! Maybe it will be the best show ever since it's their LAST performance for the year & they will be excited to be DONE?!?!?! Lol!

I know what you mean. I live in Austin and they also have their show on January 4th. I wonder how they do that...I guess they have enough to break up the band into two parts to tour across the country. Anyway, last year they came to Austin the day after Christmas and we were kind of bummed about that as well...I mean at least it was shortly after Christmas but like you, we'd rather see them before Christmas and sort of incorporate it into the spirit of the season. To see them on January 4th after Christmas and the New Year kind of negates the purpose of seeing them for the Christmas reason, though I'll still go see them because it is a tradition of ours to see them every year. So you and I are in the same boat, only in different cities. I wonder which one of us (citywise) will have the Tommy guy (one of the lead singers)? Maybe he has a twin that we secretly do not know about. I guess we'll find out on Jan 4th.

I agree with you 100%! Last year we went to their show on November 15th. When we 1st got the tickets I thought ~ man, that is kinda early. I am always in the Christmas spirit, but the people we are going with might not have that Christmas feeling yet...but OH MY was it awesome!! Everybody left with that good Christmas feeling they leave you with. It was such a great way to kick off the holiday season. I was hoping though that this year it would be after Thanksgiving...Well....IT IS!!! Lol!!! They do have 2 bands...an east coast band & a west coast band. I did buy their dvd last year, so I guess that will have to do for me if I want to have a TSO experience before Christmas....

Have you signed up on their new fan club website yet? https://trans-siberianexpress.com/

Yes I did. I believe that website is a great idea to fend off the scalpers from obtaining all of their fanclub type tickets. Plus, they have a forum type thing over there as well, though it doesn't compare to the mymerrychristmas forum. :)
