I feel like putting the decos up!!!

Sorry folks, I need to have a whine about the weather we're having over here. It has been raining non stop and its driving me barmy!! I dont drive so its impossible to go anywhere without having to get soaked to get to the nearest bus stop!
The rain is going to last all week again!! Y'know I feel like putting the decorations up as it feels like winter already. What a rubbish Summer we're having....

I feel the exact same way you do. Here in NB,Canada we have had nothing but rain or cloudy days for the last part of July and all of Aug. so far. I will be glad when fall comes so at least the season will match the weather.

I have been tempted to start putting out a few Autumn things. It is hot here in Ga but today feels alot like Fall and so will tomorrow. When September gets here I will put out some things, I won't be able to wait much longer. I need a change of scenery!

I have one room - office/guest room -- that nobody usually goes in. I am wrapping Christmas gifts and leaving them out as decorations for me to enjoy. I am stacking them in the corner, on the floor. It makes me feel GREAT whenever I see them!!!

If anybody comes over -- I will either (1) lock the door or (2) throw a comforter over them, or (3) put them away, out of sight. (Depending on how long the guest will be in the house. My family is accustomed to my love of Christmas and accepts it. (After trying several interventions, unsuccessfully, to limit my Christmas indulgence)

It's been Wicked wet here aswell.every day is rainy,then will clear up for a few hours then pour again.Kids are getting cabin fever and its August!

Hi Kellyann...Sorry to hear your weather has been so crumy. I know how you feel about wanting to decorate. I keep looking at the trees here and just waiting for the leaves to all start changing colors and then falling. With our temps. getting cooler at night....the weather is about to change here before to long too. Hope you some nice days soon.

I'm with your there Kelly Ann - I got soaked this morning on my way to work AGAIN!! At least if it WAS winter, we'd have all the lovely decorations up to keep us merry! But right now its jus rain, rain, rain and thats it!! :sad:

But whining about it isn't going to change it !! :-? Cheer yourself up ! Put on your favorite Christmas music, make some hot chocolate, bake some cookies, start writing cards whatever gives you pleasure and have a special Christmas day in the middle of summer ! cheesy

We have been having incredibly chilly weather here. It has been an average of 70s and breezy... I feel like going to a pumpkin patch and sipping on apple cider! But, alas, it is too early for that!

Yeah I agree. At work, yes at work, I have two Christmas trees and a large Santa on my desk (where I am at RIGHT now). My co-workers accept it that Im strange ;) I was listening to Christmas Vacation on my ipod yesterday at work too :P

It's still a little to warm to put up the decorations, but my sister in law sent me two Christmas houses the other day. And I just bought 5 Christmas ornaments today.

The weather has been rainy here also. But all next week is sunny and warm, boo!!!! I want snow and cooler weather. I am closing my pool early because of the crummy weather. Been one yucky summer! Then to top it all off we get a bat in our house, terrified us all! Can't wait till winter I'm tired of this yucky summer!!!! Been awful for us all!!!!! Bring on the snow and decorations, to make it beautiful...........
