UK Town Says Christmas Decorations are Too Heavy for Bridge

After decades of hanging garlands and lights on a bridge leading into town the decorations have suddenly become too heavy for the town council to chance risking the health and safety of the citizens. This is a whole new approach on removing Christmas from public areas.

I can understand safety first. But I smell something fishy and it isnt coming from the water from under that bridge now. Over a period of time wouldnt heavy trucks and what not eventually lead to the bridges dismise.

Atleast there was a minimal compromise. Simple garlands and whatnot could be hung from the bridge :o
