It's turning yucky here in south Louisiana.
We're under all kinds of watches and warnings thanks to Ike!
TAKE A HIKE IKE!!
We went grocery shopping last night.
We have foods that don't have to be refrigerated if we lose power.
We're under a tornado watch until Sunday.
If you're under an evacuation order, please evacuate.
Everybody please stay safe!

I've been watching the news non-stop! My friend in New Orleans thought she might have to evacuate again, but she's weathering the storm. I'm really hoping everyone in the path of that storm evacuates because, according to weather.com, Ike is a force to reckoned with. I really hope everyone on the Texas coast gets out OK. I'm praying for y'all!

What the weather channel isn't telling you - is that south Louisiana is already flooding from Ike. Houston is just where the eye of the storm is making landfall.
We're under a tornado watch until Sunday!!
You can go here: www.noaa.gov (http://www.noaa.gov) and click on the southern areas of Louisiana for weather forecasts!
Cameron Parish is under a mandatory evacuation.
Calcasieu Parish has an evacuation for people in mobile homes, special needs, or folks who live in low-lying areas. My son lives in Calcasieu parish right on the water!
Will be glad when Ike is gone!

I'm also praying for Galveston. It doesn't look too good for them. I hope everyone, living there on the coast especially, evacuated.

Well I just watched some of CNN on this according to the news if people haven't left it's now to late. They also said the storm is almost a category 3 and the storm is so huge and almost the size of Texas. There has been one death reported so far and it was also mentioned that some of the levees have failed in Louisiana. I too continue to keep all these people in dangers way in my thoughts and prayers. What a scary thing to go through.

It's truly scary and amazing at the very idea of what water and wind can to do a huge city!
