hmm.... I wish I could read more of the article but the link isnt working(account suspended). But anyways I feel that trees should remain green. I almost feel that would be blasphemy if it were any other color. I can deal with flocked trees(fake snow). But anything beyond that I feel is pure blasphemy.

Can you imagine seeing purple or orange trees??? How ridiculous is that??? I prefer to stick with the traditional green, maybe even have a small white one to decorate with red ornaments. But nothing else!!! If they did do that, I don't think they would sell too well anyway.

Just when we thought green was an acceptable lifestyle, they go and change the colors. It'll never fly in the mainstream world. Too many traditionalists left in the world. I like green because that's what color they come in naturally. Do you suppose people decorate other kinds of trees much? :-o

The link thing is weird. That article is posted on our site at this link (http://mymerrychristmas.com/2006/treecolor.shtml) but it gets fed via our feed provider, rapidfeeds.com.
Wonder what's up with them?

when i was in elementary school, we had to write a poem about xmas trees. i have the most distinct memory of my mother taking me to a lot to wander around to get inspired. this was back in the late 60's and green was the minority. they were all flocked every color imaginable!
i can remember the beginning of the poem....
coming home from school yesterday
i saw a christmas tree display.
whites, oranges, yellows too
and standing alone was a tall skinny blue.
i think i was 10 or 11. but i can soooo see, in my minds eye, that tree lot and all the colors. every color imaginable.
but good old live green makes me happy!
