Although I am excited that Christmas is 100 day's away,I can not help but say that I just can't believe just how very fast this year has flew by. I remember when I was little and eager for Santa to come it took FOREVER for Christmas time to roll around. Now that I'm old(er) the year's just seem to fly by.

Oh I agree! My daughter will turn 23 five day's after Christmas and my son will turn 20 in March. It seems like only yesterday they were babies. Keep them little for as long as you can .I love this poem. I had it when my kids were small.

My Little Handprints
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
I always leave my handprints
On the furniture and walls
But everyday I'm growing big
And soon I'll be very tall
Then all my little handprints
Will be so hard to recall
So here's a special gift
Just so that you can say
This is how my hands looked
When I placed them here today

I agree ~ I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. The years are just flying by. I totally believe that having kids makes time go faster, but I also think it's just a "getting older" thing that makes time go so much faster b/c we don't have any kids & yet the time just absolutely zooms right by. I can't imagine it going any faster!!! If my 40's go faster than my 30's are going, I'm going to be 50 tomorrow!

YaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!!! crazy isn´t it?

unfortunately I couldn´t go on with the Christmas shopping cos we had to help out my mom a bit this month...she didn´t ask for it...she would never do that...but I saw she needed it...so I gave it....even tho....there´s not so much to give from our side....but she helped out so much with Kandice when I was sick....and since ever I was born....that´s what a daughter should do I think

but I will sure go on in October...still earlier than usually....my Christmas shopping usually started late November....hahaha

90 days to go...tomorrow we are in the 80s....time is running so fast...I´m gettin dizzy

Johnor -- I would think that tickets to see your play would be fabulous Christmas gifts! Do you get a certain number of free tickets? Not that they are really "free" since you are paying for them with your blood, sweat and tears! But I would be so honored if an actor gave me tickets to see them perform! And of course, they could be given as "early" Christmas gifts.

OCTOBER 1!!! The official countdown to Christmas started for me and the wife today. Unofficially we've been counting down for a good 2 months now but today we make it official. All that really means, is that unstoppable Christmas music around the house, Christmas shopping begins today and now when we have free time we start on our list of Christmas movies and tv shows that we watch every year. Our first Christmas decoration went up as soon as I rolled out of bed (Our Christmas countdown wall thingie). I am so excited!!!

The one down side to it all is that there is still a Halloween party to plan for. And while it is a nice time, I'd rather it just be over. The wife just loves planning a party, but BRING ON THE CHRISTMAS!!! Woo Hoo!

I'm literally like that little kid who wants to wake up at 4 am to see what Santa has brought and the parents make go back to sleep for a few hours.

I could really start prepping for christmas in august but it'd drive my wife insane if I did that. We occasionaly watch a christmas movie through the year but thats as much as I'll put her through. She loves Christmas as much as I do but she just loves everything. She's planning for a big halloween party and I'm all about the Christmas so I have to ease into it through October for her sake.

Today I have to decorate for the Halloween party outside with lights and ghosts and creepy stuff but I'd so much rather be stringing christmas lights and blowing up inflatable Frosty the Snowman.....I can wait til November 1st I guess..... Grrrr

UnchosenFragmnts - you and your wife sound like wonderful people!!!! What fun things you are doing for the holidays!

I really really wish I had a Christmas countdown wall hanging thingie! I think I am just going to number pieces of paper from -- 83 -- down to -- 0 --. And hang it up where people won't make fun of me. Oh well - they can make fun of me. I'm too happy to care. I love Christmas! (Halloween too.)

I wish October would just dissapear lol! I don't really like halloween because I HATE being scared and its the complete opposite of Christmas...but I always try to be something Christmasy for Halloween (I'm thinking Candy Cane this year) and that makes the month go by faster! My Christmas Season usually starts the day before Thanksgiving and Im thinking of bumping it up this year haha, but yay for 83 (almost 82) days! :D

Melindasue -- I hate scary things at Halloween too! (I know, I know -- lots of people love them!) So I put out lots and lots of non-scary decorations and string orange and white sparkly lights through the bushes to make it magical. AND I buy lots of candy for the trick-or-treaters!
