Harvey Fierstein plays Heatmiser against Michael Mckean's Snowmiser in NBC's ballyhooed remake of The Year Without a Santa Claus. Thankfully, he replaces Chris Elliot who was originally cast to play the part.

I gotta admit, he is a better choice than Chris Elliot, but that voice! I'm eager to see how it turns out.

I can see the two of them making striking misers. Close your eyes and remember what heat and snow looked like and then super impose those pictures over Michael McKean and Harvey Fierstien...good match.

So I take it it's not going to be an animation like Rankin and Bass did. I'm waiting for that one to come in the mail. Ya know that's one thing that is sad here in Florida. The tv scheduling sucks at Christmas time. Of course tv isn't what it used to be in terms of Christmas. The Family Channel does do the 25 days of Chrstmas starting December 1st. That's fun! I miss the variety shows and all the programming that used to be on.

Exactly. I have to create my own christmas tv stations. That is why I'm collecting them. Did I tell you I got an Andy Williams DVD from his old Christmas specials.
