Does anyone like to window shop for Christmas? I find myself going to stores to see if they have a nice Christmas Display and what all they have. It is something that I really enjoy doing. Just curious if anyone else does?:rudolph:

Sadly we don't have a lot of store's around here any where that have window shopping and I do miss it . There are a few store's up town but most of them have went to the mall, some have displays ,some don't .

I remember when I went window shopping with my parent's as a little girl.

I love window shopping! It gives me ideas as to what I want to get for each person on my list. But it is more fun when I can buy something!:snowball:

I don't live in an area with many stores that do window displays so my mom and I are going to go into the city this year for some Christmas shopping, window shopping and to just suck up all the Christmas spirit we can!

Ooooh Yes! I love window shopping. Only problem is I can't just leave it at that, I have to go in the shop too which usually leads to buying something - I just can't help myself at Christmas time! lol

Yes, yes, and yes!

There is a very small, indoor mall in the nearby city, which is decrated beautifully for Christmas. It is the same every year. It is a two-story mall, with an open balcony all around the second floor. The entire mall is decorated in pine garlands (beautiful quality artificial) and white twinkling lights. Each shop has windows to the walkways - and each is decorated (even if just with more pine garlands and twinkling lights. Most have much more.) A grand piano is rented for the season from Thanksgiving to New Year's, and professionals are hired to play Christmas songs. There are many small tables with chairs, throughout the center of the mall. You can buy a delicious hot drink (coffees or chocolate or tea) and sit listening to the beautiful music. And watching people enjoy the place, as they shop and window shop. My husband looks forward to this yearly visit very much!

And, my husband has a favorite place to window shop too! It is in yet another city. It is a three-story big mall - with a three story center atrium, and balcony/walkways around the center - on each floor. Each year, the mall installs the same incrediblt two-story display in the center of the atrium. It is big delicate, beautiful reindeers and snowflakes - which look like crystal - filling the middle of the atrium. They are covered with white twinkling lights -- which sparkle in the sunlight from the giant skylight. (At night, of course, they sparkle too!)

This mall has a food court on the bottom floor - under the decorations. Santa's Throne is beside the food court. So - you can get lunch (or supper) and watch the children visit Santa. My husband likes to do all his shopping at this mall. (I am finished by this time.) So, I bring a Christmas magazine or two, and enjoy a drink in the food court while he shops. When he is finished, we have lunch or supper.

We both really enjoy these trips. However, when we have celebrated Christmas in other places, we have found other Christmas things to enjoy. Each place has its joys at Christmas.

When I was growing up I remember how each store would have a wonderful window display for Christmas, especially the department store in my hometown. Now with malls are the only shopping outlets you don't see the beautiful window displays anymore but I call when I go shopping and not buying, window shopping. And I love to get ideas for decorating and etc.

Pick me! I'm a window shopper!!! I love to look at all the displays, & lights. LOVE IT!! A friend & I are going "window shopping" on Nov. 2nd when our local hardware store has their "grand opening" of this years Enchanted Village! Right now they have all the windows covered in red & green paper so nobody can see in... (they turn their garden center into a big Christmas display)

:snowball:I LOVE going into different stores and seeing their Christmas departments and displays. I especially LOVE when there are decorations that move around or make music. I wouldn't want them in my home, but it's nice to look at in the store.

Christmas is the only time of year that I mind looking at the stuff in a store and not buying. :sparkle:

I love everything associated with Christmas. Lights, commercialism, feelings of good will towards men, the crowds...all of it! LOL

I was just window shopping last weekend with my husband and kids. Macy's has their Christmas store open in one of the malls just northwest of us. They have some beautiful trees and decorations!

I take bus loads of people out of town and always take the opportunity to browse the stores and see what is available elsewhere. It is nice, and free, to look at all the new stuff that comes out this time of the year.
