View Full Version : Feeling a bit blue today
After the wonderful cooking chat last night, I hate to say this, but I'm in a funk. Work was miserable - started out bad and got worse. Home was depressing because I did our budget and found out how little we have for Christmas. I can only imagine how hard it is for people with children. Then, to top it all off, I dropped my cheese sauce covered chicken breast on the floor as I was trying to put it on the plate. It made me so mad that all I want to do is go to bed!!!!
I was hoping that someone could tell me a good, clean joke to perk me up - and hopefully others as well.

Sorry I have no jokes Mrs H .
I send BIG hugs your way . I know how it is to have those bad day's ,but I promise that they don't last forever.
We have to have rain so we appreciate the sunshine .
Thanks for the HUG Ms Speedy! I put on Merry Christmas Radio too and it's helping too!

Maybe this will cheer you up......
3 Wise Women
Do you know what would have happened if it had been Three Wise
Women instead of Three Wise Men?
They would have asked directions, arrived on time, helped deliver
the baby, cleaned the stable, made a casserole and brought
practical gifts.
I get this every year from all the women in my family. lol (what do they know!!!)

I agree I've heard it said the sun needs the rain for the rainbow to be.
Wishing you a Wizard of Oz day tomorrow.

Just think; Christmas isn't all about money. You don't need just money to have a good Christmas. Christmas is about spending time with loved ones, and thats all that matters. So cheer up MrsH, I don't know you very well, but you seem like an amazing person and everyone has there bad days :) Just relax and things will get better. A bad day is temporary.

Sorry to hear that you've had "one of those" days.

Here's a joke I found recently...
Dear Tide company,
I am writing to say what an excellent product you have! I've used it all of my married life, as my Mom always told me it was the best. Now that I am in my fifties I find it even better! In fact, about a month ago, I spilled some red wine on my new white blouse. My inconsiderate and uncaring husband started to belittle me about how clumsy I was, and generally started becoming a pain in the neck. One thing led to another and somehow I ended up with his blood on my new white blouse! I grabbed my bottle of Tide with bleach alternative, and to my surprise and satisfaction, all of the stains came out! In fact, the stains came out so well the detectives who came by yesterday told me that the DNA tests on my blouse were negative and then my attorney called and said that I was no longer considered a suspect in the disappearance of my husband. What a relief! Going through menopause is bad enough without being a murder suspect! I thank you, once again, for having a great product.
Well, gotta go, have to write to the Hefty bag people.

Dear Mrs H,
I'm sorry you had such a bad day. It's OK to vent here.
Sometimes it helps to count your blessings ! Look out the window and catch the sunshine (if it rains just be grateful the plants get watered); think of your DH and something nice he said or did (DVDguy ???? Did you ???) ; take a look at those beautiful nature photos you posted in your album. I'm sure it will bring a smile to your face.
As for your Christmas budget... it doesn't have to cost a lot of money ! You can make a lot of decorations with greens you find in your garden or in the forest; you can give the gift of time to your friends and family... Make this Christmas one of love and friendship instead of expensive gifts !
I hope you have a better day today !

I've got a stinky cold at the moment (cof cof sniff sniff, etc.), so I'm a bit blue as well.
But here's a cold related joke (that's pretty clean!)
Q, What do you do if your nose goes on strike?
A, Picket!
