makes sense to me, good deals, don't have to fight the crowds, don't even have to get dressed to shop online.

It still gets pretty ugly on Ebay. There are folks who use a brilliant buying strategy, waiting until everyone has gone to sleep and putting in their bid just seconds before the bell. Other folks use two signons and bid against themselves to drive up the price and simulate demand.

I've had some strange Ebay experiences, several times out of the blue I get outbid by someone with a 0 rating and they aren't bidding on anything else.
