Today is actually the start of cleaning week. THROUGH cleaning that is. Not that my house is a pig sty ,as I keep stuff picked up and put up. I'm a clean and organized freak ,but I'm saying I'll be moving everything as I clean and dust , maybe even chuck a few thing's or put up for yard sale season . I have a small house with small room's ,but I do one room a day .:busy:
Then come the weekend it will be time to put up the tree and the decoration's .:tree::???:

Fall cleaning! I love the way my house feels after I've done a completely thorough cleaning. :) Good luck getting that done and moving on to the fun stuff.

I'm doing the same task. Cleaning out the guest bedroom closet today so my grandaughters will have a place for their clothes and toys. Taking everything out is the easy part, deciding what to do with it all is the hard part. yikes.
Well, it's a good day to stay inside, cold with snow flurries outside.
*whistle while you work*

I'm working on my house this week too! Unfortunately, unlike Speedy Elf, I hate to clean house! And mine is pretty disastrous!
Oh, well! It will all be worth it in the end!
I hit my 500th post earlier--I'm Elf, 1st class now--yay!

2 room's down and the hall way done .
I'm going to start on one of the bedroom's today.
I save the kitchen and my son's room until last . My son's room is also where we have are racing collection on display and it is very time consuming cleaning the shelves and dusting all the diecast car's .When my son come to live with us we packed up a lot of our collection .

I know exactly what you mean. We do the samething at my house. But this year is going to be a little difficult. My brother is remodeling my kitchen. I thought he would have been done by now but, it looks like my step-mom and I will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner in a half finished kitchen. I pray that this dosen't affect our Christmas decorations. :?

I've been fall cleaning for a while, little bit at a time. One more bookshelf to go in my living room. "sigh" Have loads of books and once in a while I need to take them all down to dust behind and underneath but it takes a looong time as I just love the books and start reading instead of dusting....

I sure wish I were you right now! Way back in October I asked my husband for one gift for my birthday--to help me get the house clean. It has gotten pretty bad so it really is a two person job. But he has yet to deliver. He has promised me every weekend for almost 6 weeks! So now I'm having to do it all myself and get it done by Friday so I can decorate. My 5 year old son, bless his heart, is helping me all he can, but there is only so much he can do!
It's really frustrating when someone in your family (namely someone who lives with you, like your spouse) just doesn't care about Christmas and couldn't care less if anyone else has a nice holiday either. Sorry to vent, but I'm significantly upset as I type this. I was supposed to be going out of town this weekend and I had to cancel my trip because of all this! It's just a big mess. I feel like, and have been, crying. I'm trying to stay in the spirit despite all that is going on, but it's very hard. This is the only place I can visit that has a chance to get me in the spirit, but I just don't have much time to be on here right now!
