I travelled to work this morning, in the snow. Work is 16 miles away. The snow ploughs and gritters DIDN'T bother travelling to work this morning, in the snow, with the result that I came home again before getting stuck. It's a tad un-nerving when you pass 2 cars lying upside down in fields!

Of course, since arriving home, it's sort of cleared up but it's not a risk I was prepared to take. Instead, I'm all wrapped up, ready to take the dogs out for a snowy walk. Life is truly a hardship!!

We work flexi hours anyway, so the day off I have planned for Monday, I'll just change to today. That should work!

We had some now this morning too - not enough to stick though.

I totally understand, I would have come back home too. My husband drives about 40 miles to work over some nasty mountains and I hate it when it snows for it is such a worry. I know he's a very good driver but you never know about the other guy on the road. We have a Buick front wheel drive and it does wonderfully in the snow but still nothing helps when there's white outs.

I am glad you are safe at home.

Wow, that would be a little tense to see.... but glad you made the executive decision to turn around and go home and spend the day with us. We don't have snow, it is unusually warm here. Have a good walk with the hounds.

So, this "flex time" of which you speak... could you, say, after a mild winter, claim a "snow day" in July or August..?

Just throwin' out options...

Have a nice day at home! Why risk the nasty weather for work eh? When you can sit by the fire and log on to MMC? lol

We got a little snow Sunday. Less than an inch. Just enough to cover the ground. It was so pretty coming down. One of the prettiest snows I've seen in a long time. Wish it had lasted longer.
