In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of our Christmas shopping and decorating, it occurred to me how very different the holidays must be for our troops on the other side of the world ... and their families who will be celebrating Christmas without them.
When we are warm and safe in our home's all decorated for the holiday, surrounded by friends and family... good food and a place to lay our head at night... this is how they celebrate.
I found some of these pics and thought how sweet they were. They have to do with what they have... how neat is that?
God Bless them..

I agree Jana, let's not forget those who are risking their lives everyday to protect us and others! God bless and protect them all.

I had a co-worker that was in Iraq for 18 months and during the Christmas season everyone was thinking of stuff to send to her and in the meantime she sent a box to us! She sent all of us some Christmas candy that she bought in Iraq. It was pretty neat to see it and it was good too! Here we are wanting to send her something to brighten her Christmas and she brightened ours.

I just wanted to say, Thanks for posting the pics, and I agree, they are sweet, but they are also sad in a way. I hope all our troops come home for good soon.

Yes, god bless them and their families for sacrificing so much for us.
I have a friend shipping out on Wednesday. He's going to Iraq. It's sad, but I know he'll come home.

I join in....I pray for them (from all soldiers..all of the countries....a friend of mine was in Kosovo recently and will probably go to Afghanistan next year) to stay safe and thank for risking their necks for the safety of most of the world
