I have a home network consisting on one desktop and printer and a laptop out in the diningroom. I can't seem to get the printer to work via the laptop. I have the printer set for sharing, but am stumped otherwise. Any ideas?

Oh...I've been trying to do the same thing for 6 months. I gave up. I bought books and called help desks...I'm still not completely wireless.

Can you share drives? Can you transfer files from one to the other?

When I first set up the network I could, but I haven't even tried it this time.

Let's check the basics first. Have you tried these steps:

I'll work my way through that webpage tomorrow, when the little lady is out and about.
