I am so looking forward to a 3 day weekend. I haven't spotted any Christmas stuff in Walmart yet. I'm going there tonight to go food shopping. I was in Michaels last week. They had some Christmas stuff. They had their Halloween stuff out. I don't know why but I'm not fond of that (and I hesitate to call it) holiday.

Halloween is one of the best holidays!

Everyone is happy, goofing around and having fun. It's cheap. There is food BESIDES candy associated with it. And we almost always have SNOW on Halloween which mean Christmas is coming.

I'm sorry I just never liked Halloween. I don't begrudge anybody who do. It's my sisters favorite holiday. I can't take the horror flicks that come on every year. I just find it to be very dark. Even as a kid I wasn't as fond of it. I do have one question though. Have any of you heard the term raiding before. It's kinda like Mischeif night as some may call it. We had a friend who's dad would take us out to farms to steal corn. We would shuck it and put it in buckets and use it to throw at people windows. We called it raiding. That was a big thing where I grew up. How horrible at the time I never thought of taking the corn as stealing.

Did I hear someone mention Halloween related food? Please, enlighten me, because I was under the impression it was about pumpkins and scary costumes and candy. I am getting stoked for Halloween! There's no letdown after it's over, either, because it's only Act One of a four act season.

You could toss me a turkey leg on Arbor Day and I'd eat it, so I guess it's OK for Halloween, too.

For Halloween you can serve buckets of dirt (chocolate pudding, cookie crumbs and gummi worms), you can make a cemetary with a tray of chocolate pudding, green tinted coconut flakes, Pepperidge Farms Milano cookies as tomb stones. Also...candy or caramel apples, popcorn balls, snickers, pumpkin cake roll, pumpkin ice cream.

I spent the weekend at work, but at least I'm off today, Labor Day! It just happened to be my regular off day.

I was in Wal-Mart in Florence, Alabama yesterday, Sept 3, 2006, and noticed a few Christmas items out in the Garden Center! THe transformation has begun! Of course, Hobby Lobby started about three weeks ago!

I've noticed. Where are the west coast people or the central and mountain people who have no excuse for not being here?

Nothing like eating a crayon with sugar inside. I like them, but not sure why. I like the bug waxy pumpkins even more.
