I'm assuming this is a stomach virus he has.
He's sipping on Sprite.
Bless his heart. His fever hit 102.3 but seems to be dropping (I gave him some children's ibuprofen..little dear.)
I'm so glad it's NOT Christmas Day. His very first Christmas - he had the stomach virus and was EXTREMELy sick!!!
It hurts a mommy's heart to see their little one like this though.
I'm sure all mommy's here understand!

I'm sorry he's so sick. Keep the ibuprofen in him.

Sick babies hurt us daddies, too!

Thank you all so much!
His fever has just hit 103.2 so a friend of mine is a nurse.
She told me what to do and what to watch for.
He's being so good. Only crying when he throws up.
I don't blame him! He wants to be held constantly. Which I don't mind at all!! He's cuddling up to us! I love that..except his little body is so hot.
But, by this time tomorrow, he should be so much better!!
Thanks for the replies yall!!
hugs..

Hope he is feeling better soon. Yes, I know it is almost as hard on the parents when the child is sick. Give him a big cuddle from me too!

did your nurse friend tell you to give him a lukewarm bath to bring his fever down. Pump him with fluids and keep the Ibprofen in him? I hope Nathan is ok, how about Mom is she ok? Hugs to both of you!

I hope he feels better soon. It's rough when you get that sick as an adult but, when it's a little kid it's that much worse. I'm sure he feels just awful and I'm sure you feel just as badly as he does. Keep those fluids coming for him and hopefully that fever will go down soon. Feel better little buddy!cheesy

Good Morning Yall!

I think Nathan is feeling some better, though he is very, very pale.
But he is drinking ginger ale and at this point, doesn't seem to have any fever.
He's watching Sesame Street and playing with a balloon. cheesy

Well that sounds like he's doing better to me! Sesame Street and a balloon, now that sounds fun! I used to love both of those as a child. Hopefully the fever will stay away and he'll continue to feel better throughout the day. Glad to hear he's doing better this morning.cheesy

Glad to hear your little one is doing better. It's no fun being sick. I don't know how my mother or other parents with more than one child can do it. Seems like when one gets sick then it's the next child and then the next. Ugh! Well that's good he's drinking fluids so he doesn't get dehydrated. When my daughter runs fever it's usually very high...it's scary that's for sure. But that's how she has always been since day one.

Sounds like he's on the right track ! Keep giving him lots of fluids but not too many soda's ! Water is still the best and some saltines to get his salt levels up. But make sure they're not high in fat. Some dry toast is good too or maybe with a little jam but if he drinks a lot of soda he'll already be getting too much sugar. When he's ready for solid food give him some rice and boiled carrots. NO FATTY FOODS !!! Good luck !

Nathan had a rough night. He tossed and turned and cried out all night.
I felt so bad for him.
Since he wasn't running fever, I honestly didn't know if I should give him more children's motrin or not.
So, when he woke up, his little diaper had leaked everywhere. So I put him in the tub. And after his bath, he seemed to start feeling better.
He's eaten a few bites of cinnamon toast and drank some ginger ale.
And he's playing with that same balloon he's had all week! lol
I think he's feeling somewhat better though!!

LOL - you and I posted at the same time!
He's doing so much better. He's playing with his Lightning McQueen car he got for Christmas!
He seems more tired, but I guess that's to be expected. I'm sure he's still healing on the inside.
Thank you for asking! That means so much to me!

How's Nathan doing today? Any better?
