Roads closed, white outs, schools closed and buses cancelled. It all adds up to another day off for me.
I took this picture at the bus yard this morning during a brief sunny period. We are expecting up to 25cm (almost 10") by tomorrow.

Is a day off due to the weather good or bad for you? I suppose it's a wages vs. salary question.
As a grad student, a day off due to the weather is a mixed blessing for me. A nice time to catch up on homework, or just lay around and look at the snow or rain storm out the window. cheesy But all the missed classes have to be made up on other days and other times. :-?

I am jealous!!!! Want to send some my way Please!!! LOL! The most we have had at once this year was 2 1/2 inches. It was enough for the kids to play in the yard but not enough to build a big snowman!

when there is a snow day, I still get paid, so these days are a bonus for me I guess. Right now the sun is shining through my window, but it is snowing and blowing like crazy. (talk about your mixed blessings!)

Late March or early April, but I did see it snow on Mother's day once.

My frist reaction is "cool" !!! But I can imagine it is a pain when you're snowed in for months.

On Saturday, a week after snow, we had bright sunshine and 16 degrees cent heat. All the flowers coming out and my kids went kayaking from the beach. T-shirt weather. Spring has sprung!

The high here today is supposed to be 55°f, but it's supposed to be 75°f by Friday. That's really getting warm for February, even for the south.
