I was out this evening walking around Walmart. When I came home there was a wallet laying on the sidewalk outside my apartment. I picked it up right away and took inside to find some ID. There was a whole slew of money in it as well. I didn't count it but I thought wow someone must be sick over losing this. The owners drivers license was inside but I couldn't find a phone number for him on the net. His address was in the town next to where I live. I called the police and they came to pick it up and while the sherrif was taking some information from me, a panicked gentlement looking all over the place came walking around the corner. The officer said are you looking for this? The poor guy was so relieved. He was on his way to the mall to pay his phone bill and realized his wallet was missing. Anyway I guess I did my good deed for the day. The officer counted the money in the wallet it was like $379.

Well they said I could have taken it to the police department but I was told they could also come and get it. That sort of surprised me too. I was glad because the police station isn't as close as it used to be. I just wanted the wallet out of my possion as soon as possible. Ya know sometimes it's even scary to do a good deed. The guy could have said he had more money and accused me of steeling it. I wanted the police in on it as soon as possible. It's ashame what this world has come too.

LOL. Well it was either that or he just made a drug deal. It's my understanding things like that go on in my apartment complex. Sad but true. I hate drugs and what they do to a society. Our complex if very nice and quiet but I do hear of things like this going on. The same people do not run it anymore. I miss the girls who used to run the office. They took no crap.
