I tried twice to PM you, EW, about this very thing and the site finally died. Looks like it's running smoothly now. Jeff, bigger server, please! 8)

We're supersized right now. I went turbo about six months ago. I just got on myself but I'm guessing we just had a glitch of some sort. Everything looks ok now.

When's the last time anyone had any troubles? Just a note: Some of my vendor sites were unusually slow today as well.

Getting a little worried here Jeff - (re:hacked in previous years). Are you totally updated with anti-hacker software? Want to make sure everything continues to run smoothly. :) great note, this is always a good thing to keep updated.

We're totally fine. In fact, I'd say we've never been in a better position. Look, if I can access this from the middle of the Atlantic things have to be okay. I finally got into the server logs and it doesn't show anything happening on our side.
That tells me that maybe there was an overall Internet event today that caused problems in general areas for some reason. It happens.

We're suffering from PTSD concerning the Christmas.com affair.

personally, i think jeff does an amazing job here, especially when one considers he has 300 kids and works a full time job. there aint a dang thing wrong with this place. glitches happen donchaknow.
i find it inconceivable that jeff would allow protection to expire or be out-dated considering the time, energy and love he invests in this site.
i have a website of my own, and some days, stuff just happens. the only reason i asked the question to begin with is because i have an iffy (at best) net connection.

Also remember that about every 12 hours the server goes through a hard reboot. There's various reasons for doing that but it does cause the site to show itself unavailable for the five minutes or so it takes to do that. FYI.

Well, Christmas.com we are not. But Elfworks is right, stuff does happen. A power outage can disrupt any business. I had a shop that over the weekend had a car go through the front end of it. While trying to pick up glass at 5 am a bum had the nerve to ask my manager if she had a sample.
But honest folks, relax. We're ok.

I wore one of my See's polos tonight. I've been asked six times. That's not a record but it is a good night.
I haven't forgotten you, Elfworks.

My earliest memory was of being in a crib and my younger brother, who is 14 months younger, cried and got a bottle, so I cried and got one, too. (I think I was 12.) Anyway, I still use that technique, as you just witnessed. 8)

I got home from work at about 5:15 and could not get in as well. I was worried. I felt cut off from the world. I missed my Christmas buddies. I hope that never happens again.
