Christmas shop. I ordered two gifts for Christmas, it's the beginning of buying for my 8 grandchildren. I always start with the youngest (they usually are so much easier).
I get them something to play with and something to wear. But the two oldest boys usually like money but I still get them something to open.
I feel good that I have started. Merry Christmas!

I bought a Christmas present on Saturday. I bought my son a set of golf clubs. They were on sale for a great deal. He is using some clubs my Hubby cut down for him to use right now (He is 7.), so he is going to like these.

I probably wont start until at least September. The shops usually start having sales then.

That is so exciting cheesy! It sounds like with 8 Grandchildren you have quite a few to buy for. I like to start early and buy a little at a time hoping that I dont over spend! I need to get my butt moving now too!

I'd like to start shopping now, but money is a bit tight for us after DH has had multiple trips to the hospital in the last month - so that is a lot of time off of work and no money :( We're getting caught up and then I plan to start putting aside $15 a week for Christmas. My women's ministry at church is doing a Christmas in July shopping trip - so I plan on knocking quite a bit out then!

Oh YIPPEE!!! So exciting!!! I was just thinking yesterday how I need to order the next piece to a Fontanini nativity scene for my Goddaughter for her birthday in August. I have been ordering them from Bronners, so I thought - while I'm ordering, I might as well order a couple Christmas gifts - personalized ornaments, etc! That's just fun!!! :D

I have got a few things but not much. I have been watching for really good deals on toys for my nieces and nephew but have not had much luck. Money is going to be tight until october so I will do most of my shopping then. I always watch the clearance sections though for toys that I know my nieces and nephew love and if I find anything good on clearance I will pick it up.

I ordered a Webkinz poodle (great deal on the Webkiznz poodle at Amazon) and a Barbie DVD for my 2 yr. old grandaughter.
This year the younger grandchildren are getting DVD's from me. I also get them each some clothes, that will wait until later because they may grow over the summer. And some other small things. Buying for the girls is very easy, I have more trouble with the boys.
I buy a little at a time, I can't afford to go and do it all at once. I keep a master list in my pc of everything I have bought then I know what I need to get.
My husband just rolls his eyes when I talk about Christmas presents but he never worries about it until Christmas eve. LOL, I remember when our kids were small, he would go with me shopping sometimes but the majority of shopping was left up to me, then on Christmas eve, he would ask if we got everything? LOL, I guess it was a "we" since he provides the funds to shop. We are a team.

I love the idea of keeping a master list in your computer. I think I may do that.. because I start shopping early also but my Hubby thinks that I forget what I have bought throughout the year and end up buying way too much stuff!

It has worked well for me for many years. And I don't worry about others seeing my list. When I do my final shopping, I make a copy of it and take it with me.
Thanks I'm glad you like my idea.

I do that too and it is great. I also email my list to my hotmail account so that way I can pull it up while I am at work. This way if I go shopping on my lunch break and pick up a couple of gifts I can edit my list at work, away from little eyes.

That's a great idea Minta.
Well I got the webkinz poodle last week and yesterday (Monday) the Barbie DVD arrived.
I love ordering from Amazon. Items arrive nicely packaged and it only takes a few days. And who doesn't love a bargain.
