Well, of course as you know it's on the 23rd of this month...9 more days!! :o
September 23rd is also the first day of Autumn! Yippee!! :) The flower theme is white flowers and fall leaves (and some fall colored flowers).
It's going to a smallish wedding. We invited maybe around 50 people, but I don't now how many will be there for sure.
If you want to know anything else about it, lemme know! I'll be glad to tell ya! :rudolph:

Sounds great! My niece is getting married in November! I'm in search of a dress for it! I hate shopping! Lol!! Their colors are black & fuscia. They have about 300 invited. Should be a good time. Is your wedding inside/outside? I was in my friends wedding last September & it was an outside wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been too! How exciting! Have you been planning for a long time? My hubby & I had a 1 1/2 year engagement & that was too long for me!! We had to book our hall 2 years in advance, unless we wanted to get married on a Friday, everything else was booked! Good luck to you! Have fun!!!

Sheepsnot: I might just have to post some pictures then! :wiggy: Yep, he likes Christmas too. He'd better, right? Hehehehe
Holiday: WOW! 300 people?! Whew! :o It's an inside wedding at my church. We've actually been engaged since 2002 or 2003. LOL I cannot remember right now.
Thanks!

I thought about getting engaged but that meant buying another ring, so I skipped it and went straight to the marriage. Actually, we were engaged about 6 weeks after dating about 6 weeks. Now we have been married 9 years in October. If you each put the Lord before each other you'll do fine.

Yep, you deserve a nice wedding! That's a long time to wait!!! :-D Enjoy!! Please do post some pics!
Actually, around here a 300 person wedding is a small wedding...really small! My hubby & I had 625 & that's normal. Most wedding are about 700! Lol!! I put my foot down at 625!

You've got me beat. I've never been a married woman. I have eaten wedding cake, however. There must be a secret to saving it for a year and eating a piece on your first wedding anniversary. We tried it and year old cake is lousy. Some traditions perplex me.

10-02-2006, 07:27 AM
you had leftover cake?

Just that one piece, and I had to be convinced to leave it alone.

when I was married we too put some cake in the freezor saving to eat later on. In fact after the divorce thats all I had left, the cake, Everything else including the freezor was gone.

We're not going to save the top of the cake for a year. Bleh! hehe
In fact, it's in our fridge right now (with a load of more cake leftover) with a slice taken out of it, hehehe.

Welcome to all newcomers.
by the way, we had our wedding cake a year after and it was still very good and moist. Wrap it very well and freeze it. It's important to cover it well.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/AuntieMistletoe/welcome_017Blue.gif Welcome, TwinkleLights!
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/AuntieMistletoe/FallTree.gif My husband and I had an October Wedding too. We celebrated our Anniversary last night. We were married during the Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend some years ago. We had falls leaves, a gold lame tablecloth, horn of plenty and decorated the tables with long freshly cut gladiolas. It was quite a small gathering also and it was perfect.
 Congratulations and welcome! I look forward to sharing Christmas with you.
