I really LOVE this film and was wondering if anyone else has seen it or read the books?
My daughter has taken a liking to the film too!

I LOVE these books - have them all, including on audio (guess what I'm plugged into at work right now?!)

Breaking Dawn is my favourite. Wasn't hugely impressed with the acting in the film but really enjoyed it anyway

Mind you, I'm a sucker for vampires - anything vampires. Salem's Lot is another favourite of mine

Well, we share the same passion for Vampires Mo. I wrote my dissertation on Vampire films waaay back in college. I love love love vampires!!!!! lol

I have read a lot of comments from people who have said the film was 'cheaply' made, BUt I like it very much. I think it was meant to be made in such a way for the effect. If it was a 'big budgeted' Hollywood film with all the effects etc it would've lost its appeal. The acting is BRILLIANT!! I cant understand why people cant see it.

I read the books as well... very good! For me Breaking Dawn was the best... just hated to see the story end!

Any of you read Midnight Sun... it's a re-write of Twilight from Edwards view. Only partly finished, but I loved it! :D

I agree - Midnight Sun looks terrific; I read the first bit about 2 months ago. I think she stopped writing it because someone got hold of it and posted it on the internet without her authorisation.

Since it was already 'leaked' she decided to make the partial draft available for download on her site. According to her site, she intends to finish it, eventually. I can't wait till shes does! cheesy

Loved the movie, only thing I didnt like was that the vampires "sparkle" in sun instead of bursting into flames. BUT I guess that would have ended the movie faster if he said "I want you to see me in the sunlight". BAM! Bursts into flames...movies over! hah

In short, you can't!!! It's something Stephenie started and then some lowlife got hold of it and posted parts on the internet. That completely hacked her off so she stopped writing it. She has put a partial draft on her website

and now has plans to complete it. Sooner rather than later, I hope as it's a brilliant concept reading Edward's side of the story!!

It took me 6 hrs to read and I throughly enjoyed. Such an intersting concept to re-write the novel from Edwards perspective. I hope this version akes it to the big screens aswell.

Well, I found the time to read the series. It is FANTASTIC!
I can honestly say that I have not read a book since I graduated high school (er um ... 6 years ago??) Just didn't have the time or the interest. Wasn't ever much of a reader (not sure that I ever really read the books we were required to in school either, lol). And the series was awesome. I cannot say enough good things about it. I read them so fast and was so sad when I finished Breaking Dawn, lol ... wish there was more to read!
Anyhoo! Can't wait for New Moon, the movie, to come out ... hubby and I already have a date planned :)

I know I've really enjoyed a book when I start to get depressed about 3/4 of the way through, because I know it's almost finished. It's not too bad when it's a series but I was gutted when I finished Breaking Dawn.

On a more positive note, I was on Stephenie Meyer's site yesterday and it said that her next project is finishing Midnight Sun

I read the first chapter on her website about a week ago. But I don't want to read anymore ... I'm holding out for her to finish writing the rest. Gosh, I hope she writes fast! cheesy

Loved the books but, honestly, the last one wasn't the greatest in my opinion. I think she just kind of went off on a weird tangent and couldn't quite get her story back under control, but, again, that's just my opinion. The movie, like all movies based on books I really like, didn't live up to my expectations but that's okay it was still a decent adaptation...the only thing was with all the quick camera spinning/moving, I got a bit queasy in the theater. LOL. I'm definitely heading to see the next one on Nov. 20th!!

cheesy I love the Twilight books and the movies. I read all 4 books in 8 days. My husband did not see my face the entire time. Once I started I could not put them down. Looking forward to New Moon coming out in a few weeks.
I love all things Vampire. I am a huge fan of True Blood. Would love to find these books, but I have looked everywhere & can't find them. And I am currently watching Vampire diaries. I do thing it is kind of a rip off of Twilight, but it is good all the same. My husband and I watched the Underworld movies as well.

Hmmm, Breaking Dawn was my least favorite of the 4. Could just be because it was the end though and I didn't want it to end. Can't wait for New Moon in a few weeks. I love everything vampire but I'd say I'm more Team Jacob than Team Edward.

I absolutely love Twilight. My friends think I'm crazy because I want a man to break into my room and watch me sleep. ( As long as they are as sexy and romantic as Edward..lol) I started reading the books and finished all of them in 5 days. I would wake up reading them and fall asleep reading them. I loved the movie as well. New Moon was my least favorite I think maybe because I was mad that I might not get to see anymore of Edward, so I couldn't concentrate on the book cause I had to keep stopping myself from flipping to the back to see if Edward comes back to Bella. I was sooo mad when he left I wanted to jump into the pages and slap him. WOW see this is why my friends think I'm crazy I am waay to into Edward. I have to keep reminding myself that he is not real. LMAO

I love Twilight! I bought the movie with all three dvds in it. I watch the extras all the time. I have all four books, took me a week to read them all.My favorite book is New Moon. Least fav is Breaking Dawn. So didn't go the way I wanted! Although, I do love the bickering between Rosalie and Jacob. I cannot wait to see New Moon, my cousin and I are going together to see it. Seeing as how we're the only obsessed ones amongst our friends.lol I am Team Jacob all the way. It's wrong how much I obsess over him! Thank goodness Taylor Lauter lives way on the west coast...otherwise, I'd be in jail.lol.
