I got a call from my daughter a little over an hour ago freaking out saying the house had shook! The kids are home with my mom. A few minutes later reports starting popping up and about a possible earthquake. Well it has been confirmed there was a 2.7 earthquake around my area. I know that is not a big but when you normally don't ever get one it's big enough. Tony ran home real quick to check everything and thankfully everything was Ok except that one of the dogs must have gotten scared and had an accident. The kids are fine now but they were a bit scared earlier.

Glad everyone is ok. That is scary especially when it's rare to happen in your area.
I agree when it happens in your area, size doesn't matter.

No you are not that far from me. I live about 5 minutes south of the Delaware Memorial bridge. You are right it is crazy! I just found out the epicenter is about 5 miles from my house.

I'm happy all are fine and no real damage. Must have been very scary though.

If you've never been through one it is a very frightening experience, regardless of how big it is.

Glad everything is okay. We have one every couple of years here in indiana. The last one was in the middle of the night last april and it woke me up. I thought something was crawling on me but when I woke up it stopped. I thought it was just a dream but the next morning I found out it was a earthquake. My sister was in the hospital that night having my youngest niece and the next day when i went up to see her there was a aftershock that made the curtain in the hospital room sway. That is the strongest I have ever felt here. It didn't do any damage though so everyone thought that it was kind of cool.
