December 4, 2006 - December 5, 2006, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
December 7, 2006 - December 8, 2006, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
December 11, 2006 - December 12, 2006, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
December 14, 2006 - December 15, 2006, 7:00PM - 12:00AM

I'm going on my fourth Christmas here and still have not seen the Christmas Festivities at Disney World. I really would like to though. I did drive up there around New Years last year to hang out at DownTown Disney and The Trees and lights were up there. They were still playing Christmas Music too.

I am not sure if they still do this but years ago a guy here in Little Rock used to put up so many Christmas lights that it jammed up traffic and the city made him scale way back. He is a millionaire so I am not talking about the city being scrooges...it was totally out of control. He bought the two houses next to him just so he would have more room. Anyhoo, he ended up donating about half of them to Disney World and they had a big celebration that year. I would like to go and see it all.
(Btw, he donated another large part of them to the city so they use them at RiverFront Park in LR on the Arkansas River and it doesn't cause the traffic problems and everyone can enjoy them now!)

It wasn't his fault traffic jammed it was all the drivers of the cars. They could have parked and walked by.

No, that was the problem. No place to park so people were stopping in the middle of the road, pulling onto the neighbors yards, etc. I didn't mention he has a 10 foot concrete wall around the entire compound so it made it extremely hard to see any of the lights except the ones on the roof from the road.
Here is a piece from their website. They are still at Disney

I think that they still do. A friend of mine (and family) were out there a couple of years ago at Christmas and she was asking me about the lights and if I had ever seen them when I was living in Arkansas.

I'm not really attracted to those huge displays so I wouldn't be in a traffic jam to see one.

And considering he used mainly red lights it looked more like a huge fire than anything else.

In Des Moines which is 20 miles from me they have jolly holiay lights each year. In a huge city park they set up thousands of lights and animated displays. You pay like $10 per car and drive thru and look at the stuff in a orderly, off the city streets, manner. Organized and well planned events like this I do enjoy and the proceeds go to a childrens charity.

I just can't stop laughing at this question. Where did that come from?
God: Erv, how do you feel about coming home to heaven?
Erv: Do you have chili cheese fries?
God: I said heaven, didn't I?

MY DAUGHTER IS IN HER LAST YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL. I'M SURE THAT SHE WILL NOT COME HOME FOR CHIRSTMAS ONE DAY, AND WHEN THAT DAY COMES, I WILL BE IN DISNEY. IT'S MY FAVORITE PLACE ON THE PLANET. I HAVE GONE 7 TIMES, AND IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH. I'M SURE THAT DISNEY WILL MAKE CHRISTMAS EVEN MORE MAGICAL THAN IT ALREADY IS

I HAVE NOT SEEN CHILI CHEESE FRIES IN DISNEY, BUT THEN AGAIN I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR THEM
