I should have and planned too....but havent.

However im gona try a little change of plan this year. Am still gona save but gona start buying bits & piecesvfrom end of this month also. Reason is sometimes as i save i sometime dip into it (naughty me:-?), but with gifts already bought then i cant dip into them and defo wouldnt take them back. Then in Dec ill also have some savings to get bits and bobs and last minute gifts and hopefully the early sales that now start pre christmas.

Before you know it December will be here, i no alot who always say 'its ages yet' then come december are all in a big fluster as aint saved and left it till last minute while im a 'bit' more organized and christmas is that bit less stressfull so i enjoy it morecheesy

Cheers

J

We save our change to buy presents. I also plan on starting to shop within the next few weeks. I hope to get the kids taken care of, and hopefully a few nieces and nephews.

I have been buying gifts all year. We are more then 1/3 way done shopping now and hope to be more then 1/2 way done shopping by the end of summer.

We have an old water jug that we empty our change and loose one dollar bills into. This weekend I started tucking away extra money too and I am going to try to tuck away a little more each pay.

You guys are good! I have purchased a few little gifts but need to get moving. I didnt really plan on putting much money away but I thought I would buy a gift a week to help out. I may put a little money aside because I will have 2 kiddies also by Christmas. I may do some kind of Christmas savings account for next year when you start saving a little each week starting in January!

Keep your eye on Toys R Us. They have a lot of good sales during the summer - lots of buy 1 get 1 free stuff and clearance sales to make room for the holiday toys.

My wife and I have a automatic withdraw from our accounty every Friday and put into a Cmas Club account. At the end of October, we are mailed a check and on the first week of November, it starts for the next Christmas. It's cool....

I have started buying Christmas presents. A lot of stores my girls like have long sleeved shirts on clearance. I have gotten a lot of good deals for my son too.

I have been saving my change and the money I get for doing any side jobs. I also have been working on the rewards web sites to earn gift cards. I have saved enough now for my entire christmas budget. I have a few small gifts bought already but my nieces and nephew grow to quick to try and buy clothes already. I have picked up some toys though on clearance here and there.

Some years I save my change and use it for some of my Christmas shopping. This year the change is going for Disney Dollars for a WDW trip next June. I think last year was the first year I didn't use a credit card for gifts. I just took out the amount I needed to buy gifts when I was shopping for nieces and nephews. Otherwise, I wrote checks. It was wonderful to not have a huge cc bill in January!

I've been saving 1 and 2 euro coins in my Christmas piggy bank and it's starting to feel quiet heavy. It's money I use for fun things during the Christmas season. It's always nice to have a little extra at hand when there is so much to do and buy. I try to put in soemthing every week and now with Christmas coming closer I put in a little extra.
