I've had a Miles Kimball catalog so far.

Miles Kimball, LL Bean, and two others featuring Christmas cards.

I had to laugh at Miles Kinball one; it had a big sticker on it that said "This might be your last catalog." Ever year I place a large order with them, and every year my catalog has that sticker on it.

One of our vice presidents got his LL Bean catalog yesterday and since he's on vacation in Cancun, I'm enjoying it until he gets back!

The Lakeside Catalog appears to be very similar to the ABC Catalog. They have some of the same stuff in it.

Okay now here's a gift idea that no one should be without. A Pull My Finger Santa Claus. It's in the Lakeside Catalog, in Giftwares products 41-60.

If you do a search on the Lakeside site for the Pull My Finger Santa, it assumes you are deranged and offers three other "guys only" gifts. Special soap for the face or for the butt is one. Check it out.

I never even heard of half these catalogs. I was out at Walmart and the dollar tree still not much Christmas stuff yet. That didn't stop me from spending money though.

You can't forget Miles Kimball...that catalog has been in house for a few weeks.

Swiss Colony arrived on Friday. Does anyone know what happened to the Dubish Torte? That's my traditional favorite and I can't find it in the catalog to save my life.

*********************************
WHEW!
I just checked online and they are available, it's just not in the catalog. They really scared me with that one!

They make a torte out of doobies? Meanwhile, you could shop Swiss Colony online and they have a few kinds of Doobie Tortes: http://www.swisscolony.com/shopping/search/searchresultsmain.jsp?ASRPR=1&AS=1&keyword=dobish+torte

Okay call me clueless. What is a Dubish Torte or Doobie Tortes? When I was growing up a doobie was a funny cigarette you smoked or the name of a rock band.

she must be talking about tools....I use a torte wrench on my lawn mower

HolyNight7

Well I know what a torte wrench is but what does it have to do with doobies and Christmas for that matter?

MarthaK

Here's a picture of the little yummy.

If you guys would just click the link you would have known we weren't talking about lawnmower wrenches. To start the Olympics, runners circumvent the planet, carrying and passing on the torte. I have been known to carry it on a number of occasions, only to show up empty handed, with nothing left to pass on but torte breath.

Passing tortes? Sheeps, are you a lawyer?

just looked it up in my handy dandy Martha Stewart Incarceration Guide To Desserts, Torte is a European-style cake that has become very popular in North America.

Passing tortes? Sheeps, are you a lawyer?

No, but I've hired them before. My parents denied I was their son even after showing them our family pictures. Happens every couple years.
