100 days until Christmas means that only 68 days until my outdoor Christmas lights come on!!
Only 68 days to put lights on wireframes, program the LOR, set all the lights out and up, run the extention cords, hide cords, pound the rebar to secure the blowmolds, weather-proof all plugs and connections, balance the electrical load, and make sure things look right.
Then, on Thanksgiving evening while folks are headed for their second slice of pie and planning their assault on the stores, PRESTO! 30,000 little points of Christmas cheer come on!!
I had better stop chatting and get to work!

We are all very excited only 100 days till Christmas, it is getting close.
However we all really start the Christmas thing the night of Thanksgiving/Black Friday, which is only 69 Days away. So really for my family only 69 days until everything starts going up. Probably more around 63 days, last year we decorated earlier than we have ever decorated. :-D MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! :D

Light-O-Rama? Even if that isn't right, it's fun to say with any non-American accent. 8)

Yes! LOR is Light-o-Rama, the computer -controlled Christmas light miracle!
This is my first year with it, so I won't be doing the Carson Williams flashing house-thing from last year. I'll just use it to turn some Santa blowmolds on and off.

I can't wait and i hope that the 98 days go :D very quickly! However, someone else mentioned this and i agree. I usually decorate the day after thanksgiving. Thats when i listen to the music and everything. So technically its only like 60 days until it all starts! SOooo exciting!!!!

It's the aticipation of it that I enjoy so I don't want it to go to fast. I tend to get depressed once it is over. We waited long enough to get to this point.

I agree 100%, HN7. The anticipation of anything is as or even more exciting that the realization of it. That's why toys get left behind and boxes are played with. That's why Mickey Rooney had eight wives. (Actually, I have no idea why he had so many wives, but it seemed to add to my weak point.) To tell the truth, this has been one of the best years in recent memory because of the great folks on this site. Knowing that most of you will still be here after the holidays are over helps even it all out so there's no big climax and letdown.

Exactly. It's nice to find people who feel the same way you do and can keep it going all year long. I've been trying to tell people at work that. Some just look at the rush of it all and don't know how to enjoy it.

It's kinda like vacationing to France just to see the Eiffel Tower and then coming home with a few souvenirs. I'd rather spend a month living on a farm not too far from the Med and enjoy the sights and sounds of normal folks, if normal folks can afford a farm near the Med.
