Hey fellow Christmas fanatics,

Well today is September 3rd. The old saying is so true "Time waits for no one!" It still seems like summer just started, now its over (Unofficially that is). This year has really flown by. But that just means that we are getting closer to the most wonderful time of the year(quietly jumping for joy). And speaking of that glorious time. I thought I'd give you guys another update. So here goes:

59 days till November 1st- This is when I start to celebrate the Holiday season.
71 days till November 13th- This is when we all start to celebrate the Holiday season.
84 Days till November 26th- This is Thanksgiving day for those of us who live in the states and my 2nd favorite Holiday.
(Gobble Gobble Turkey Turkey!):stuffed:
113 days till December 25th- This goes w/out saying but I'll say it anyway It's CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY YYYYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way has anyone started their holiday shopping yet? I have. I was in Wal-Mart yesterday (Sept 2nd) and I saw something that would make an excellant gift for my brother, so I brought it. I usually don't start my shopping untill the first week in October, but I could not resist. At least he's out the way!

Merry Christmas Everybody:))

No shopping yet. I just hope my Walmart get their remodeling finished before long. I'd hate for them to be late setting up for fall and Christmas. Right now the garden center (where we have the Christmas shop) is full of school supplies.

I have the misc. gifts and a gift for MIL. Otherwise, I have the lists made, just haven't done the shopping yet. I usually go shopping with my mom & sister in October, but I don't think we will this year. If not, I'll try to do most of my shopping on Veteran's Day. I'll be off work and daycare will be open, so I could do it if DH doesn't have other plans!

I actually bought some Christmas gifts for this year after Christmas last year. I also stock up on books for my hubby and kids at my favorite used book sales in April and September.

As for the countdown, I write how many days till Christmas on each day as soon as I get my new calendar each year. Every time I look at the calendar I'm reminded how many days to go. I started doing this after my son wanted me to do this for him for his birthday every year. No sooner would it end, and he'd start working on his list for next year. Now we have a rule, no talking about his birthday until we're 60 days away. Not like he follows the rule or anything, but I can try.:-?
