it will be interesting to see how sales of next gen game systems do. with prices for xbox & ps3 at 400 & 500 dollars or more we'll see how they do. Nintendo wii is 250 so they should do ok. I'm pulling for nintendo

As caretaker to a 12-year old boy, I can tell you I'm VERY interested in the game systems and how much they cost.

The kids haven't heard of Zune yet? That's Microsoft's version of an iPod. They are making a big deal out of it but Bill has never been able to overcome Apple's cool factor. I think it's going to thunk, no matter how advanced it is.

You gotta wonder if these sales projections don't actually work against the stores. If some people hear that sales are sluggish, they may behave accordingly. Kinda like the stock market reacting to news of a completely unrelated nature. "Madonna has a new video-Oh, no! Sell my GM shares now!" People trust what other people are doing as if it makes it right. If everyone is shelling out $100 for a ticklish muppet, I should, too. They should have headlines that say, "Sales will be great because the price of gas is down and unemployment is pretty low and the Dow is near a record high."
