Does anyone have a link to upcoming new Christmas movies in the theater and/or tv for this year? I saw one a few months ago, but even doing a search, I can't find anything current. Thanks a bunch.

I haven't seen any upcoming previews, i think www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com) might have some news though if you search.

Saw Final Destination 3D the other day. Before it was the trailer for Christmas Carol in 3D and it alone was worth my 10 dollars. Looks fantastic!!! I soooo can't wait for it. I told the wife that we should have left after that preview because the movie stunk and I could have went home and done something Christmassy.

I am not a huge Christmas Carol fan, but I am curious to see the Jim Carey version.... Of course, almost any Christmas movie is a good movie!!!

Not sure how I let this one slip under the radar but I think Jim Carrey could really do something interesting with this role. I cannot wait!

They air quite a few new ones each year (Lifetime, LMN, Hallmark, HallM, and many others)

I TiVo alot of things (hundreds each year) --- my family and friends call me a "Christmas-A-Holic!"

I truly love everything Christmas... I own almost every Christmas DVD also... can't wait for Moonlight & Mistletoe (Hallmark movie that premiered last year) and other Christmas movies from last year that will release on DVD October 9th!

Hmm. After watching and re-watching the trailer I am not so sure about a Christmas Carol...is it just me or does it not feel Christmasy enough? Maybe I just have too high expectations :)

Finally saw a trailer for Disney's Christmas Carol and was surprised to see it is Digital animation sort of like Polar Express. I thought it would be more like his Grinch movie. Still looks good but i'll probably wait and catch it on DVD.

Hmm. After watching and re-watching the trailer I am not so sure about a Christmas Carol...is it just me or does it not feel Christmasy enough? The trailer doesn't show the elements that are the most "Christmassy" in the story: Mr. Fezziwig's Christmas party (http://www.cleavebooks.co.uk/grol/dickens/carol03.jpg) for his employees; the Ghost of Christmas Present (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Scrooges_third_visitor-John_Leech,1843.jpg), who is the image of Father Christmas, feasting on Christmas food and drink; Christmas dinner with the Cratchits; the Christmas party at nephew Fred's home; and Scrooge's awakening on Christmas Day with a new outlook on life.

Bucking the trend of trailers that show you virtually the whole movie, the CC trailer keeps to scenes from the first third of the story, mostly Scrooge's office and spare, dark home. Disney is saving the best stuff for later.

The preview before Final Destination 3D was in 3D and it made the movie look magical to me. Snowflakes falling and coming at you like on Polar Express 3D. I wasn't too thrilled about Jim Carrey as Scrooge before seeing the preview in 3D and now I cannot wait for it to release. There have been so many Scrooge movies and some have been bad and some have been really good to me so I think as long as it's in the middle somewhere I will be happy.

Oddly enough, my favorite Scrooge movie is Scrooged with Bill Murray. I know...way off from the traditional story...but seeing it helps make my Christmas. :p
