Elfworks Under the Knife!

Caught your eye, didn't it? Apparently, though some people claim to be cat lovers, there is no requirement that the feelings be reciprocated. Elfworks, who has been missing from the site since the 18th, was attacked by her neighbor's cat and required emergency surgery, which left her one handed. In practise, not in reality. She has two hands, but for the time being types with one, so be patient if she doesn't say much for awhile. Now would be a good time to say funny things about her. She can't respond quickly, so you can make a clean getaway. And pray for her like you did my mama. That worked wonders! 8)

I got a call from Elfworks just before lunch. I was given the whole story, though at a speed reminiscent of military secure transmissions. Sounded like I was listening to binary code, but here's as much as I understood: "Ahhhhh! Cat attack! Ouch, my Achilles tendon! Stupid boyfriend, take me to the emergency room! Ooooh, drugs are good. I love everybody! Take me home, you silly goose." That was about it.

oh man... just reading this post has made me feel TONS better as laughter (and vicoden) is the best medicine!!!

thanks so much for the emails and get well wishes. i am finally out of the cast. still hurts like a &&@##@@, tho. my mom was here til yesterday. and the bf is now on nurse duty. i will readily admit to yall to seriously playing up the whole cripple/pain thing! (shhhhhhh dont tell him)
i am staying with him for a few days cuz there are still several things i just cant do. just came home to feed my kitties and clean out the email.

will be here fulltime probably around wednesday.

I'd take either one if I could have them in the house. Allergic wife prevents that from happening. (She's allergic to pet hair, not me.)

Trust me allergies to pets is a miserable thing. I wound up in the hospital due to my allergies to cats. It's terrible but I'm not looking forward to going up north for Thanksgiving because everyone I will be seeing or staying with has a cat. I'll probably come back home sick.

you could get one of them robotic dogs that Sony or whoever came out with a Christmas or two ago...I bet there are internet hack sites on how to re-program them to do household chores. Better than kids.
