This made me smile this morning!

The Christmas trees are in full effect and the decorations are crowding out the Halloween stuff at the Lowe's in Alexandria, VA. Matt says:
These photos were taken last night (24 Sept 2009) at the Lowe's in Alexandria, VA. The indoor photo even shows a manger scene displayed next to a grim reaper riding a car (top shelf, on right of photo).
By the way, this store provides excellent customer service and the staff have always been very helpful with great advice on various projects.
Well, yay for good customer service, but we sort of miss Halloween and Thanksgiving. Don't you?

Now I am going to have it stuck in mine to.

I don't mind if they start putting out christmas decorations this early. Most stores don't carry as many halloween decorations and they are not going to leave shelf space empty. So why not put out the christmas stuff.

I know that our Lowes and Hobby Lobby have all of their stuff out....or at least most of it....but I can't let myself go look....I'm just don't want to do it yet...I usually don't let myself go look until Hobby Lobby starts the 50% sells in late October or November!

Sure, it's next to Home Depot on Abercorn St!

The Lowe's I visited in Vidalia, GA last week had to aisles of Halloween and two aisles of Christmas decorations, AND the front of the aisles had about twenty lighted & decorated trees!

Funny, but true. I guess they figure they'll catch you with one or the other.

My local Lowes has only an end cap of Halloween. The last time I was in there they were setting the trees up but had no other Christmas decor up yet. Either way I'm in Halloween mode right now lol!

Lowes ran out of decorations early last year for both Halloween and Christmas. Like they didn't order a whole lot. Wonder if that will happen again this year?

As much as I love Christmas, this just proves the point that it is too commercialized. Can't they at least wait until after Halloween?? I try to ignore all Christmas merchandise in big box stores until after Halloween. I will, however, go to a dedicated Christmas store any time during the year.
