Early Christmas lights spark row

Residents of a Cornish town say they are embarrassed about a decision to put up Christmas lights - a full three months before Christmas Day.
But the St Austell and District Chamber of Commerce says it was necessary because it has nowhere to store the decorations while moving offices.
Chairman Paul Scott said: "I'm surprised by the fuss. The lights won't go on until the end of November."

"Nobody has come forward to provide a store for them, despite an appeal.
"I think there are more important things in the world to worry about. I hope people will just bear with us."
