Early Christmas lights spark row

Residents of a Cornish town say they are embarrassed about a decision to put up Christmas lights - a full three months before Christmas Day.

But the St Austell and District Chamber of Commerce says it was necessary because it has nowhere to store the decorations while moving offices.

Chairman Paul Scott said: "I'm surprised by the fuss. The lights won't go on until the end of November."

"Nobody has come forward to provide a store for them, despite an appeal.

"I think there are more important things in the world to worry about. I hope people will just bear with us."

I used to do it until I realized how hypocritical it was, seeing as how I celebrate it all year on MMC.

Stupid store! No eggnog, but they did have Halloween cookies, both the need to bake and the ready to eat. Got both. They also had some peppermint mocha creamer for coffee. I let that one go for a few more weeks.
