This is a little game I devised and used in my christmaslovers LJ group, but I thought it would be fun for you guys here....

People think I'm weird because....

- I wish I could drink hot cocoa and egg nog year round
- I get teary eyed when taking down Christmas decorations and our tree new years day
- I listen to Christmas music year round
- I start planning for Christmas in August
- I think of Christmas everytime I see bee lights
- I still squeal for joy when I see Santa at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.
- I cry at the end of a Charlie Brown Christmas when they're singing "Hark the Herald Angels Sing"
- I can watch "A Christmas Story" and "Love Actually" millions of times!

-It's 12:01 am Halloween night and I'm taking down Halloween lights and hanging Christmas lights.

-It's the middle of August and I'm sitting on a lawn chair, pork chops on the bbq, with "Frosty the Snowman" by Gene Autry blaring on the boombox.

-I leave the cars out of the garage and parked in driveway so I have another place I can hang Christmas lights.

You stole my line. People think I'm weird because I sing Christmas songs throughout the summer and have a snowy Christmas wallpaper on my PC all the time and because I keep one window open all day on MMC instead of FatBikerChicks.com.

Not really. (I know you were joking.) It's easier to not get my butt kicked by the wife is she catches me on MMC, so I avoid the other junk. There are more subatantial reasons, but that'll do for now. 8)

I know the number of days until Christmas right off the top of my head, 365 days a year.
I like and make fruitcake
I listen to Christmas music all the time
Instead of dinging and bonging, my computer plays clips from "It's a Wonderful Life"
I actually considered mentioning my outdoor Christmas display in my resume, but thought better of it
When asked "where did you go on vacation?" my answer is always "I stayed home and worked on my Christmas lights"
When house hunting, I looked for a place that would be friendly to my display...from street visibility, to workshop and storage space, to electrical capacity
I send inflatables and lifesized singing Santas to my deployed military friends
My dream is to do a doctoral thesis on Christmas music in wartime


I had better stop there, before folks here think I've had too much adult eggnog.

1. i can recite TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE XMAS from memory
2. my thanksgiving menu is planned by the first of august.
3. i have 15 40-gal plastic containers full of just xmas decor
4. when choosing a new home, it is imperative that there be a prominent place for a tree or i dont sign the lease.
5. i have xmas china, linens and not one but two different complete sets of bedding; not just sheets, but matching comforters
6. i have an entire jewelry box (large) full of holiday jewelry
7. an entire closet in my home is devoted to holiday clothing
8. i make homemade eggnog every day from thanksgiving til almost valentines and ocassionally in the middle of july!
9. i believe in santa claus

This is my first Christmas at my current job. My office is decked out with lights, ornaments, a sleigh fill of candy, a small Christmas tree, a Yankee Candle (mistletoe of course) in the background, and a wreath on the door.

At first they thought I was all nutty. But I am proud to say that my decorating in the office has caught on and now people are decorating their cubicals!

Wait till Santa shows up on Friday December 22 unannounced...

2. Put outside lights up first decent day before Thanksgiving.
