Pizza and wings? That's down home cookin' to me. Just have to tie small fishing weights to the bed covers to reduce flapping. Oh, am I still on the air?

I am without a computer at home so it looks like I am missing alot! I had to put the laptop in to be serviced Sunday. Not that I probably would have gotten on last night anyway. I left work and went and bought a new car, since when does it take 4 hours to buy a car...esp. when I had already pretty much "bought" it over the phone. I should have just signed and left.

sheepsnot
10-10-2006, 07:47 AM
Was it at CarMax? I worked there part time for just a few weeks. The paperwork was astounding! After finally putting it all together, it still took half an hour just to sign it all. I like buying and selling privately. Spit on your palm and shake hands.

Christy Carol

No, it was at our local Nissan dealer. I think the worst part was the credit manager trying to force me into buying the extended warranty and service plan. Why pay for these for the first 3 years or 36K miles? I can see getting one after then but blah blah blah. He kept on and on like this was the first time I had ever bought a car and was dumber than dirt. And when I finally got thru to him that no, I wasn't interested he wouldn't even look me in the eye. I got the rest of the papers signed in 5 minutes and was outta there.

Ervserver

those extended warranty plans are butter on the bread for dealers. Myself would not buy one on a Japanese made car. Would consider it on certain American made models however. I find the whole car buying process a drag.

I figured he got some sort of commission off of it so that is why he was taking it so personal but please...

See, I thought the same thing about the foreign car too. Plus I try to only keep one for 2 years, I have to put so many miles on them that is the only way I can come out even.

Just had to share this. I was complaining somewhere on here yesterday about our radio station that normally plays Christmas music during the season changing formats and all and that we probably won't have local tunes this holiday and what I was gonna do.

Problem solved!!

My new car has a 6 disk CD changer in it so I can load alot of my stuff and switch back and forth and listen to it all!!!!!! I didn't think of this until lunch today when I was messing with it wondering what in the world I was gonna do with that changer. I have a feeling my long commute won't be bothering me this Christmas....and possibly no road rage!
:P

Ervserver
10-10-2006, 11:45 PM
sounds like a good plan. Maybe another local station will pick it up?....hope so anyway

Christy Carol
10-11-2006, 06:25 AM
I am hoping but I can't think of which one it would be. The one that went gospel used to be easy listening type music so it wasnt a big switch for them to go Christmas. But I finally figured out how to use the changer and loaded it this morning. Ray Charles serenaded me this work this morning!

If your changer can play mp3 you can make your own music cds and cram hundreds of songs onto one cd.

I watched Heroes and The Simpsons while posting, so can you all! Multi-tasking is a way of life. Read on the pot, sing in the shower, post while I watch TV...

dominick
10-17-2006, 12:43 PM
Just so long as you keep those in order. A wet keyboard from posting in the shower or singing Hallelujah on the pot might cause you some trouble. :D

So where's everyone now? Man, I'm having to actually do stuff over here! It's killing my Christmas buzz!

Same here...busy, busy, busy. Trying to do my stuff, filling in for a co-worker who is at a convention in Scottsdale and getting ready for my new hire that starts in the morning. Oh and my co-worker also has a new hire coming in tomorrow morning so I will have to deal with her too on top of the other 7 she has in her department that have me pulling my hair out today.

I see alot of overtime in my future!!! (Just in time for Christmas shopping!)

Christy Carol
10-24-2006, 08:06 AM
Exactly!!!! Sounds like you have worked here before!

And I am getting behind today. Seems they installed some patches overnight and it has jacked up all 5 of my computers so I am wasting tons of time rebooting over and over again. Of course I can check in here while I am doing that. :D

Think I am gonna go heat up my tomato soup...something warm and soothing sounds good right now.

After that I need to decide if I am gonna cut out of here early today. I could use some of that OT and leave early and go do some errands I need to get done but then again the extra money sounds good. I get off at 3 anyway so it might be worth my time to hang around.
