Hey all,
I am looking to go a little greener this year and get some relief on my electric bill and was wondering if anyone has found any good deals on LED lights?
I put up around 2300 lights last year and what I am finding is that it is gonna cost quite a bit to upgrade everything to LED and was wondering if anyone has saw any good deals around??

Hey, just a word of caution when you're deal shopping; some companies produce knock-offs that aren't UL approved.
When you're shopping for low-price electronics, always take a second to look for UL certification.
And take a close look.
Some companies fake the UL seal. If you find spelling errors, or the label just looks "off," you might want to run a check through the Consumer Product Safety Commission before you buy.
I wrote an article about unsafe extension cords a few years ago, and the same tips apply to Christmas lights.
That said, you might try Wal-Mart and Home Depot. I'd steer clear of the dollar stores. In the long run, it could be costly.

What type are you looking for? Indoor, outdoor, for your tree? Home Depot's website has some good deals on outdoor lights if you order online (I don't think the deals are available in the store). You can get 6 packages of C9 lights, 25 lights per string, for $35.05. That comes up to $5.84 per package, but you have to buy in lots of 6 to get the price. I don't know anything about these, so you might read up on that brand.
Also, I was in Lowes a couple of days ago and they had strings of 25 C9 lights (GE I think) and they were something like $6.59 or $6.89 per string. Not a bad deal there.
Here's a link to some of the HD deals. Don't let the prices scare you off. Most of them are for multiple packages or large spools (may 200 or so) of lights.

I hope this helps
