Well, feeling totally and completely fed up with life right now. You know the whole "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade"? Aint gonna happen. You know why??? Because you generally need some water for that and we don't have any!! Got a call from our downstairs neighbour at midnight on Saturday, saying she had water coming through her bedroom ceiling. Long story short, our boiler (which is in a walk in cupboard) had sprung a leak and there was water everywhere.

This resulted in no heating until this morning (we've had -7* C temps.) and no water at all until Wednesday as that's the earliest the part will be here. $200 later (fixed rate price which I thought wasn't bad considering it was a callout on a holiday weekend but then again $200 2 days after Christmas??!!!) and everything should be fine - on Wednesday. No heat is do-able but no water sucks HUGELY!!!!

Maureen, I am sorry. That is awful. At least you just have to wait until tomorrow. It could be worse. I hope you feel better soon.

Grew up on a well, and when the power was out, so was the water. It bites. Hang tough. Sending good thoughts your way!

Could be worse.

:-? My youngest grandchildren and their parents have spent the last three weeks in a hotel (where they celebrated Christmas) and will be there another two weeks due to water damage in their home.

Still, RJD's suggestion for shower-in-a-bottle might help for a bit. cheesy
