No, its those lengthy, word processed, impersonal letters from people you hardly know, in Christmas cards, telling you how great everyone is doing, especially their kids (johnny got a b in his end of term maths paper and cybil won the school prize for paper-folding etc.). I posted then realised covered elsewhere so deleted words - but not post!

The robins we have arrive in the spring a pretty round and I like seeing them, so I guess I like round robins

In that case, no I do not care for round robins.
But, in all fairness, would you rather have a letter detailing all the bad stuff that happened to them that past year?

Unfortunately, one of the annual letters I receive every Christmastime seems mainly to detail new physical maladies, mystery symptoms, and various other hardships. I can hear the sighs when I read it! :-?
On the other hand, my aunt's annual letter is always upbeat and the best way to catch up with what's going on with my cousins and their families. I wrote a "catch-up note" to enclose in my cards this year, but kept it short and (hopefully) sweet.

I know what you mean, but if they feel they know me well enough to tell every detail of their life over the past year, I would rather have a personal email or letter sent with me in mind, and perhaps asking how I am and what our family has been up to.
