Hey All,

Sorry about not posting. Work is forbidding us to browse other sites on our work computers. *sigh*. Oh well. heh. So for those that didn't know, Feb 2nd I slipped on ice at 6am on my driveway. I was going to work. I landed on my ankle and heard two snaps. OUCH. I stood up and my foot was dangling. I fell to the ground and crawled up the driveway and up the porch. Banged on the door and my Wife opened it. I laid on the floor being sick for about 10 minutes. After that I was taken to emergency. I broke my tibia and fibula. Thats the stability and growth bones. Major too. Well this is my first break. Long story short (lol yeah right), the doctors say its a miracle that my ankle is healed in 8 weeks. They haven't seen this before. Its supposed to take 12-14 weeks or more. So I'm on my way to walking again. I'm still using crutches but I can stand up on my own and navigate stairs instead of crawling up and down them! Just wanted to share that!

Whoa! My wife is a Worker's Comp nurse and sees things like that all the time... do EVERYTHING your Physical Therapist tells you and don't rush your recovery... sometimes doing things TOO fast can make them worse.

Get well.

Sorry to read about your ankle. How altering is it when one minute you're thinking about how your day at work will be, you slip, and the next thing you know you're dealing with something that you would never have imagined.

I'm sorry to hear about the fall and hope you recover soon.

You'll be back to your old self in no time! Now stay off the ice! (that should be easier now that spring is here)

No pins or anything in my ankle. The doc said I didn't need it since everything was still aligned up fine. Im walking with crutches right now. Getting stronger!
