I'm wondering if any of you keep certain Christmas items/decorations displayed in your home all year long? I'd love to know!

For me...all my guests get tea or coffee served in Christmas mugs :hello:. They are all very used to this now - and they are all very used to me now too cheesy.

My dog's treats are stored in a Snowman cookie jar that sits on top of the microwave (underneath the Mr. and Mrs. Santa wreath that hangs on the wall).

There is a Christmas cookie jar on the kitchen counter - and I have a Santa that sits on my dresser (that was given to me by one of my Son's many years ago).

I had a Christmas lamp in the living room that my other son and my daughter-in-law gave me...but I don't think my husband could handle that one and I put it away...for a while :-?. Well...my husband is actually pretty good about me being the way I am - but I guess he does have his limits.

So...throughout my home one will find a splash of Christmas!

How about you?

I actually dont have any Christmas things lying around, but now that you mention it, I think I will have to remedy that...

Me either, I do have Halloween stuff...but nothing Christmas at the moment. I will have to think on that as far as what I would like out. :)

My husband teases me but I have Santa's hanging on our pull chains in the dining room. I don't know if he's noticed the Winnie the Pooh Christmas night light in the kitchen. If he has, he's not said anything. I have a Christmas doll, snowman and my bear statues from the ornament exchange on my computer tower. It's just wide enough to hold them. Plus, I have a recipe holder in front. It's a silver bear hold a tree and wearing a scarf. I'm sure there's something somewhere else....oh, there is. Our mistletoe is still hanging! You gotta love it! I do!

I TOTALLY love it! Sometimes...I'll do something Christmassy - and then wait to see how long it takes for my husband to notice...hahaha!

For those of you who do not have anything Christmas out...I'm sure you're thinking about it now!

It is sooooooo much fun!

Aww thats funny because when I went on a walk not too long ago, I walked by a house that had lights on their mantel still! It's hard to take them off...they are so pretty. Last year I made a mantel garland and my mom didn't want to take it off at all. I need to figure out something to leave out.

We have small clusters of gold jingle bells on the front and back doors... they're ALWAYS there, so I don't think about them too much... but I still have a Christmas candy jar on my end table... with pastel wrapped Easter Hershey candies in it..!

The only Christmas that stays out all year long is our candy bowls. They sit there on top of the fridge. Just a nice little reminder.

I have a piggy bank, with the pig dressed in a Santa suit. He's always out on my chest of drawers. I noticed yesterday that my Build-a-Bear pig still has her angel wings on from Christmas '09. DD keeps a small nativity & Christmas snowglobe on her shelf year round. A wreath that began as a Christmas wreath stays up year round in our living room. It was olive green & gold ribbon, with pine cones on it. Our LR furniture is olive, so it matches and doesn't scream Christmas. DH keeps his Hallmark Star Trek ornies in a curio in his computer room. Nobody ever sees them but him, but they are there.

I rotate what I leave out each year. This year I left out 3 Santa's and just bought another one the other day at a thrift store for 50 cents! He joined the others on my shelf.

Our guest room is Christmas themed year round. Complete with Christmas tree, retro turntable with classic Christmas albums, christmas prints, my Christmas movie collection, a 22 flat screen and a recliner. So when I want to feel a little festive I make my way to the guest room put on a movie or an album, light the candles and turn on the tree.

I think I may need to head that way.

I have seriously considered making our spare bedroom into a Christmas room but just hasn't happened yet. Neat idea!

Well I guess I will revive this thread by adding that I have Snowman and Reindeer shelf sitters on my fireplace in my family room. Also on the fireplace is a hurricane lamp sitting inside a christmas wreath. I never put them away from last year. Now its almost time decorate again, so I think I will leave them just where they are.

We had our Santa nightlight up for a while after Christmas. Otherwise, the only thing that is used on a regular basis is our Christmas/Santa scissors. They are cute. They have Santa's head on one side and say "HO! HO! HO!" on the blades. I cannot wait to begin taking things out of the storage closet for Christmas!

Here I thought Charles Shultz had another creation I did't know about (Christmas Moose).... and then you said it wasn't real ... LOL.

I don't have much, but there is a Christmas bell on the back door of the cabin (the one people usually come to) and I use a Snowman Christmas mug. Mostly because the mug reminds me of someone special who loves snowmen and loves Christmas!:snowball:

I like the Christmas room idea... I can feel the wheels turning.

The only thing I can think of off-hand is that I use a "Ho ho mug" as my 2.5 year old calls it for my coffee everyday. I love seeing Santa every morning! :)

I have a set of Christmas dishes we use every day. My cat has a Christmas water bowl. On my desk is a paper holder of which the base is a Christmas tree. Hanging from the shelf above my desk is my "Believe" Christmas sign. Then there is the Christmas magnets on the fridge downstairs. (words of Christmas songs that you can arrange anyway you want, which leads to some humorous combinations!) Also have a nutcracker figure (just a little one) dressed up in Canadian colors.
Oh, also have drinking glasses with Christmas trees and snowmen on them. Ad on the coffee table is a golden star shaped candy dish.
I think that is everything!

I have a little Christmas blanket on my bed. It's green and red and has Santas, Christmas trees, candy canes, snowmen, etc. on it. It belongs to one of my sisters but somehow ended up in my room. My family has some Christmas mugs, plates, and bowls that we use year round. Also, on my desk I have a little nativity scene and a roasted chestnuts scented candle that have stayed out year round. cheesy

I have only one Christmas item on display year round and that's my gingerbread house savings bank. Whenever I have extra coins ( 1 and 2 Euro pieces only) I put them in there and by Christmas it's full and heavy and I get to spend all that money on christmas events or ornaments or whatever I feel like as long as it's for Xmas.
