Once upon a Halloween
I awoke from a terrible dream
Mosters, goblins, frightening things
Horror that this night brings
Vampires, wolves, hairy beast
On my body that they feast
I scream, cry, can't break free
Is this what is in store for me
I put on my costume of a fairy
Relieved I chose nothing scary
I grab my bag from the bedroom floor
and make my way out the front door
Down the steps into the dark
I hear the cry of a ghostly bark
Its just the neighbors poodle I say
So I breath deep continuing on my way
Two house down I shout trick or treat
A vampire with fangs of blood does greet
My heart stops cold I try to run
I thought halloween was suppose to be fun
My shoes slip off now my feet chilly
It was just a costume stop being silly
One more try I'll get this right
Then I saw with eyes of fright
A wolf and a man with a hunched back
A group of kids under attack
No it can't be things don't happen that way
Kids were laughing with a puppy they play
Oh well forget it I'm out of here
The shadows are playing on my every fear
I can't take this trick or treating anymore
I'm going to walmart to buy candy from the store!
