I sat beside santa on the train today!!!

Well...it is highly unusual for me to log in to MMC at work - but this an extra special thing happened and I couldn't wait to tell you all!

So...after I took my seat on the train today - I realized the person next to me was a older man...with white hair and a big white beard...wearing a red baseball cap - a red shirt - red sneakers and black pants. I thought to myself, "Could this be Santa Claus"? I wanted to ask him but was a little too nervous.

I then took my BlackBerry out and logged into MMC. Well - he must have noticed the site and struck up a conversation...which lead to him telling me that he's been Santa for the last 20 years!!!

We talked and talked and talked all the way to Toronto! I told him about MMC and all of you - and just how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas!!! Oh...the stories he told me! He mostly works with children with special needs - but does just about everything that Santa does (except for being a "mall" Santa. He said that they are only allowed to spend 2 minutes with each child - but some children want and need more time with Santa)!

I cannot tell you just how happy and excited I was while speaking with this very special person...who just happens to be Santa!!! Hmmmmm...I wonder if he became Santa by putting on the suit too...falling under the Santa "Clause"??? cheesy

Now...you might think this is just a story I've made up for entertainment purposes...but this is a totally true story! It really did happen this morning!!!

I couldn't wait to tell you, Christmas friends!!!

Have a most Christmassy day! I will be humming and singing and whistling Christmas songs all day long!

I love your story! How cool to sit next to Santa, especially one that has a love for it and not just taking on a seasonal job at a mall for extra money. The Santa you sat next to really loves what he does and works with special needs children. How awesome! I wish you would have been able to get a picture of him, I bet he would have let you! Maybe you will run into him again. cheesy

Well - I told Santa about MMC and showed him the site on my BB. He did give me his card which has an email address on it! I will surely keep in touch with this kind soul!!!

God Bless Santa! I think its kind of him to spend extra time with children who need it.
