Possible Holiday bargains to be had

I've been trying to avoid spending at Wal-mart. I think it is horrible that they are discontinuing the lay away. While I haven't used lay away, I think of all the kids whose parent's won't be able to buy toys or clothes for them because there is no lay away. I know that there are other people who have been and will be boycotting them.

I'm also pretty annoyed about their new "demerit system" for employee attendance (sick time included!!!) as well as how they are cutting back on health insurance for their employees.

Amen to that! My hubby worked at Walmart for the first 2 years we were together and they treated him like crap!

I wholeheartedly agree with all you guys have said, but when I need medicine and they have it for $4, it's going to be hard to stand on principle and pay three times as much at another store. Of course, I could go to Target, who says they'll match Wally's prices and isn't being accused of all the stuff we've mentioned.

As I said, I'm TRYING to not shop there. It doesn't always mean I'm successful.

I love that website. Everytime someone sends me one of those annoying emails that has some sob or horror story in it I look it up on snopes and then send them the link back.
