I heard rumors that Santa once lived in Korvantunturi but relocated to North Pole

I just figured he sought out neutral territory so those with strong nationalist feelings wouldn't mind a foreigner coming down the chimney. Imagine if he had German roots during WWII. Would anyone let him into their home?

I dont think it is known exactly where St. Nick was born. There are tales of him being brought to the New Word by the Dutch or from the city of Patara in Asia Minor (now a part of Turkey). I think that is part of the allure and mystic of Santa.
But to be honest, we all know where Santa lives now....in the hearts of each and every one of us. Does it really matter where he comes from?

I think its so no one can claim him. nobody has dibs on the pole so its neutral ground

OH. it started to snow on 31st October here :???:
the first snow always reminds me of christmas, drinking glöggi(glow wine) and as cold as snow and winter are, i think winter is the warmest time of year :wiggy:

Hi, I hope santa lives in Lapland as I'm going to see him in three weeks and am soooooo excited. I have been watching the snow on the webcams and counting the days down. We will be in Lapland for 5 days. As far as I know Santa lives in Lapland as that is where reindeer live, they cannot survive in the north pole?

Well, where Santa lives in immaterial in my book. But we know why he uses the North Pole as a base of operations. Elf Ed explains it plainly at this link (http://mymerrychristmas.com/2005/ez-does.shtml).
