There is a report in my paper this morning that Sainsbury's & Tescos (two of the biggest supermarkets in UK) are already stocking Christmas food and that gifts etc are coiming any time now. I also heard that a garden centre has part of its massive Christmas display open.
My reaction? Sent Daughter Number 2 off to said garden centre to purchase a fibre optic Christmas tree that I decided to want just after they sold out last year and to feel a sense of shock that Tesco's reduced chocolate Christmas santas might be sold out before I got one...or two! Sending daughter Number 1 on that errand.
Oh, and in case you are wondering; I am disabled and can't get out readily - otherwise I would, of course, have gone myself!

I haven't seen anything Christmassy around my area yet. I would say in another 2 weeks or so the Canadian Tire store in town will start bringing everything out! I cannot wait!

Last year Aldi were selling Christmas Santas fopr 99p - they went pretty quickly. I'm watching out for them this year.

I'd prefer to see the Christmas stuff held off until after Thanksgiving in October. That's not to say I don't enjoy looking at it any time of year though! cheesy
I'll have to check in my local Sainsburys to see what, if anything, they've got out. I do remember seeing an ad for those big tins of Quality Street last night. The local Co-Op had some foil wrapped snowmen out, but I don't remember seeing anything else. :tree:

Chocolate Santas - yes but can't have until Christmas. :gift:
The tree is having to wait till Monday as she was busy this weekend. The suspense is terrible! :busy:

If it was Dobbies, then yes, as they are part of the Tescos group that explains why they've started putting everything out! It was this time last year I remember getting 4 really nice Christmas mugs
M & S have also got their cards and wrapping paper out as well

BIG disappointment re the tree. The garden centre is not having any this year. Can you believe it? They only had them one year and sold out really fast. Looked on the Internet last year and didn't see one anywhere else. Maybe the manufacturer went out of business. I think it was a Puleo Icicle Tree and was so pretty. My consolation must be the chocolate Santas!
