Saturday afternoon,Isabella Fell off her older cousins bike well more like flipped over the handle bars and skid(ed) down a hill!She Broke her nose and her wrist,the roadrash is horrible,she had a concussion (sp?),Bruises everywhere. Her cast is up to her armpit,it took him 20 mins to "pop" her wrist into place,the longest its ever taken him to do so.Her face is swollen,black eye,part of the white is red.She's a mess.Had to stay overnight and all.I gotta tell ya,I was scared for her.She didn't remember what happened,kept asking if she was dreaming.The one time I didn't bring her helmet,she wipes out and of course I look like a horrible parent.I will never leave home without her helmet,knee pads,wrist guards etc, ever again.I look at her,and Im amazed how strong she was\is even now.Lots of Doctor's appointments in the coming weeks for her,maybe even therapy for her wrist.I feel so guilty.Make sure your kids put their helmets on!

Oh how awful!
I know as parents we always feel guilty when our kids get hurt.
My daughter once when she was small drank from a pitcher that contained not nice stuff because it looked like the one we made koolaid in at home. She was in the hospital for 4 days (is fine now) But I felt so guilty after that even though there was nothing I could do about it. (was not with her when it happened)
If it is not to painful give her a Christmas hug from me. cheesy

Poor thing!
I know how you feel, too. I was pushing Elizabeth on the swing when she was about 3. She kept saying "higher, daddy, higher!", and I pushed too hard one time. She fell off and the swing seat hit her in the mouth, cutting her gums. The doctor said there was nothing to it, but there was blood everywhere. I could have kicked myself.
I hope she feels better soon!

I'm so sorry to hear about that! I hope she is mending well and soon feeling better. Don't blame yourself! You can't foresee every situation. It's a good "remember your helmet!" reminder for everyone. I'll be thinking of you both. {hug}

Accidents can happen even if you're standing right there beside them or if you made them wear the helmet and all the other stuff. Things just happen to kids. You can't feel guilty over your kid getting hurt. we've all been there done that! My mom broke her wrist last Sept and had to have surgery and pins/screws put in and by Christmas, she was out of a cast, through wearing her brace and I believe she was through with therapy by then, so that's a good time frame for Isabella to think about. Praying for the little one.
