...Borat, made glorious returns at the box office, surprising Hollywood with a No. 1 debut and took in $26.4 . Disney's The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, with Tim Allen returning as St. Nicholas, was No. 2 with $20 million. Borat played in only 837 theaters, fewer than one-fourth the count for "The Santa Clause 3........

It's still a bit early for some people to be enjoying Christmas movies. It'll be interesting to see who's made more by Christmas Eve.

I agree, many aren't in the spirit for Christmas movies yet. As Christmas gets closer I think we will see a change in earnings

I agree I think the movie did pretty well considering it is only November. Once it's gets closer to Christmas the movie will do heaps better!!

Yea, it still has a lot to make at the box office, possibly even finding its way to #1 as the season progresses. I'll probably go see it next week or the week after. Depending on when I finish the bulk of my decorating, which I plan to start tomorrow

I thought it started a little early too...too early for me. But I am so sick of seeing that Borat movie and dude everywhere. That will be one movie I will never waste my money on.

I totally agree with you guys...started a bit early and I think it will pick up as the season moves along.
I'm actually kinda excited to see it honestly. I really love that series of movies.

I am excited too. I am a huge Tim Allen fan anyway and I love when he does anything Christmas, whether it be these movies or when he was on Home Improvement.

yea, I agree with everyone else, it will pick up steam as the week ticks on. I wouldn't be surprised if it shoots up the top ten list the week of Thanksgiving...but that week it will be competing with "Deck the Halls"

I personally think it did really well considering most people are not in the spirit yet. I do want to see Borat but I want to see this movie more. Does anyone know when Santa Claus 3 is coming out in Australia?
God Bless,
Matt

Deck the Halls looks funny, but then I am a sucker for any slapstick Christmas movie.

My vision of Christmas movies is clouded at the moment by the new James Bond movie...I do like the Bond movies
